For ABN holders who are self-employed or run small businesses, securing a loan without extensive financial records can be challenging. Many traditional lenders require tax returns, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents to assess a business’s ability to repay a loan. However, there are financing options available for those who may not have formal financials, particularly for new businesses or those with fluctuating income.

One possible solution is a low-doc or no-doc business loan, which is designed for ABN holders who may not have up-to-date financial statements. Instead of requiring full financial records, lenders may accept alternative forms of verification, such as BAS statements, business bank statements, or an accountant’s declaration. These loans often come with higher interest rates or stricter conditions, but they provide access to funding when traditional loans aren’t an option.

Another approach is asset-backed lending, where businesses secure financing using collateral, such as a vehicle or equipment. Lenders are more willing to approve loans when they are backed by a tangible asset, as it reduces their risk. Similarly, some lenders consider personal credit history when evaluating applications, meaning a strong personal credit score can improve approval chances.

While securing a business loan with no financials is possible, it’s important to compare options carefully and ensure repayment terms align with cash flow. Working with a finance broker can help ABN holders find lenders that specialize in alternative lending solutions, making it easier to access the funding needed to grow their business.
